A lot of prenatal vitamins are bulky or have a horrible after-taste that causes quite uncomfortable belching, but the Total One Prenatal vitamins are minuscule by comparison. I took these every day for a month and noticed that my hair seemed a bit shinier and my fingernails a bit harder. I would definitely recommend these to friends who are pregnant or trying to get pregnant or even women who are looking for a daily multivitamin. They have everything you need in one little pill.
I tried several different prenatals and this one is by far my favorite. You get the total dosage in just one regular sized capsule. No more horse pills or 4 to get the required amount.
After two months of using this, the new hair that's growing in on my head is thicker and shinier than the rest of my hair. The abundance of B vitamins also strengthened my nails and gave me energy throughout the day.
My primary doctor suggested that I take a pre-natal vitamin when blood tests revealed that I was needing significantly higher levels of several vitamins and minerals. I couldn't get that with a regular multi vitamin, so he suggested that a prenatal would be a better fit. Total One Prenatal had everything I needed to meet my lacking needs.
I bought this to take as we are currently trying to get pregnant. They are easy to swollen as they are capsules. Do not have a strong smell so are great if you are nauseous. I did notice one weird thing. I left one on the counter and some water got near it. When I noticed the capsule had started to turn dark brown. I’m assuming it’s due to the vegetarian derivatives of the DHA.
